Hospitality in transition: Institutional renewal and expansion architecture
Antonio Tejeda Encinas | CEO META Channel Corporation
In the incomparable setting of HIP – Horeca Professional Expo at IFEMA MADRID, I have had the honor of participating as a voter in the electoral Assembly of the AEDH (Spanish Association of Hotel Directors). It is a key moment for an organization with 50 years of history that, under the leadership of its recently elected president, Mr. Jesús Menéndez, and the new president of the AEDH Foundation, Mr. Manuel Vegas Lara, faces the challenge of definitively linking its legacy with the demands of the 21st century. I wish both managers great progress in this new stage.
But beyond the institutional, these have been three days of intense business activity for META Channel Corporation. The sector hospitality It is no longer driven only by the quality of service, but by the solidity of its structures. During these days we have been operating in the early phase of multiple international operations, evaluating regulatory viability and configuring the investment vehicles necessary for business expansion.
The lesson that HIP leaves us is clear: connecting actors from different countries to activate projects or consolidate those already operational is not a question of “networking”, but of architecture. For a hotel or tourism project to scale internationally, it requires a legal, economic and operational basis that allows it not only to exist, but to sustain and grow with legal certainty in complex markets. That is the difference between having a hotel and having an expansion strategy.
