The Mission:
Assess the economic value and the likelihood of success of major legal disputes and tax structures in order to determine funding viability and expected return. You are Phases 1 and 2: Origination & Due Diligence + Structuring and Valuation.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Lead the legal and financial due diligence on each candidate case.
- Build probabilistic valuation models and return scenarios.
- Draft investment memos and investment packs for the committee.
- Coordinate with external lawyers to validate legal strength.
- Establish selection and scoring criteria for opportunities.
Required Profile — Who You Are:
- You are a senior lawyer with experience in international arbitration or Big Law litigation, combined with financial acumen.
- You are proficient in damages valuation, Bayesian probability and financial modeling.
- You have worked at litigation finance boutiques, at funds or in legal M&A.
- You read a complex case and see the financial structure within 48 hours.
